There is no noble reason to blast a full white screen into someone’s face at midnight. We have the technology. We can be better than this.

Dark mode is not a gimmick when it is done well. It is comfort. It is courtesy. It is the digital equivalent of dimming the lights a little because you noticed someone squinting.

Also, from a purely aesthetic point of view, some websites look better in the dark. Richer colors. Softer contrast. Less sterile. A little moodier in a good way.

So yes, this tiny blog has a theme toggle. Not because it is trendy. Because civilization depends on standards.
